More in depth of Greek/Roman: PHOSPHORUS (Phôsphoros) or Heôsphoros (Latin. Lucifer) is the bringer of light; in which has often been attributed to the planet Venus, in reference, to the morning before sunrise (or when the planet could be seen following sunset). Phosphorus as a personification is called the son of Astraeus and Eos (or the son of Cephalus and Eos alternatively). He is the father of Ceyx, Daedalion, Leuconoe and the Hesperides. Romans assigned him by the names Lucifer and Hesperus, to identify him with the morning and/or evening star. Lucifer has also been attributed as the Roman Counterpart of Aphrodite.

Lucifer as the God of Marriage: Eosphoros-Hesperos, the planet Venus, was the star of the goddesses Aphrodite and Hera, and as such was sometimes numbered amongst the Gods of Marriage.
Example: “The light that shone on that bridal bed [of Helios and Klymene] come from the starry train; and the star of Kypris [Aphrodite], Eosphoros, herald of the union wove a bridal song. Instead of the wedding torch, Selene sent her beams to attend the wedding.” (Nonnus, Dionysiaca)

Offerings are given to show appreciation, or as favors, to those we devote ourselves to. The following is based on personal preference and experience.
You may use one, all or none of these as suggestions to your liking.
- Drink: White or Red Wine, Absinthe, Tea (Hot)
- Pastries: usually, flaky or creamy ones.
- Fruit: Apples, Cranberries, Raspberries, Cherries, Pomegranate, Peaches and Starfruit.
- Other treats: Almost anything with Dark Chocolate, Cinnamon or Honey.
Recipes for Cleansing Before Performing Rituals
I make a point to cleanse myself before performing any kind of ritual or spell work relating to my God. I like to go into my work physically and spiritually clean, ridding myself of any toxins and negative energies that might detriment my working with him. Sometimes, I will perform a secondary cleansing after a ritual. I usually find secondary cleansing’s necessary after dealing with various types of demonic entities or if I know I performed some less than pleasant hexes/curses.
Honey Body and Facial Cleansing
Ingredients:
½ cup liquid castile soap (find it here)
1 ½ cup of distilled water
¼ cup of raw, unfiltered honey
2 teaspoons of olive oil
1 teaspoon of vitamin e oil
Directions: Pour ingredients into a bottle and shake. Use with sponge or wash cloth to bathe. Lather desired amount over face and body. Rinse and repeat as desired. Store in shower and use daily.
Purpose(s): General cleansing. Excellent for Astral Travel/Projection. May be used as a cleanser prior to or after spiritual rituals/summoning(s). Personal preference for communication rituals regarding Lucifer. Honey represents life, energy, healing and good fortune. Honey is often revered for it’s golden glow and pure ingredients.
Lavender and Rosemary Cleansing Hair Wash
½ cup of liquid lavender castile soap
1 ½ cup of distilled water
3 tsp. of virgin coconut oil
2 teaspoons of lavender essential oil
2 teaspoons of rosemary essential oil
1 teaspoon of vitamin e oil
Directions: Melt coconut oil on stove or in microwave safe dish till it becomes liquified. Should take no longer than 30 seconds. Once, melted pour coconut oil into mason jar and mix with other ingredients. Shake well and wait to cool.
Once thoroughly cooled down, pour ingredients into a plastic bottle for storage and use. Take a quarter of shampoo and lather into hair. Massage into hair beginning at the roots. Rinse with cool water to seal in for shine. Store in shower and use daily.
Purpose(s): General cleansing. May be used as part of a cleansing ritual to honor Lucifer. I make a point to cleanse myself head to toe. Rosemary will leave hair feeling soft and shiny. Combination of Lavender and Rosemary help to stimulate hair growth. Great for dry scalp. Spiritually, Lavender represents tranquility, purification and spiritual healing. Rosemary represents purity, protection and passion.
