The latter (“Satan”) is a symbol of contention. All groups and individuals relate to the figure of Satan, but they do so in different wats – as a force, model, symbol, or expression of self. This is not the simple Christian Satan…Satanism is to be understood primarily as a post-Christian and as part of the Left-Hand Path traditions, not as a mere reaction to Christianity.
