Often when a problem or a person in your life is causing trouble the witch’s first line of defense is banishing. You don’t necessarily want to cause harm but you also can’t take the extra stress in your life! But what do you do when you want something a little gentler than banishing? Banishing does tend to be a fairly permanent solution, if you want something gone from your life that’s the way to do it! Sometimes gone isn’t quite what we’re looking for though. On occasions where perhaps you care about the person in question and want to keep them in your life or when a problem does need your attention but you just can’t handle it right this second, I’ve got you covered.
Everyone gets overwhelmed sometimes, this spell is a way to hit pause on the things in your life that you just can’t deal with at the moment. It’s way to give yourself a little space from someone, to give yourself a little more time to make a decision or find a solution and make a little more room when you’ve just got too much on your plate.
An Elemental Spell To Put Someone On Ice
You Will Need:
A small container that can be sealed (not glass)
Water
3 Fresh mint leaves (not dried)
A slip of paper
A blue pen or marker
Two sewing pins
Begin by pinpointing exactly what you need put on ice. Is it a person? A particular conversation? A decision that needs to be made? Be specific!
Write this target out on the paper in blue ink. If you like you can draw a circle or square around the target to keep it contained. Take one of the mint leaves and roll it up inside of the paper, roll this as tightly as you can. Wrap the two remaining mint leaves around the outside (either one on each end or on top of each other if your paper is very small) and secure them by piercing the leaves and the paper with both needles, crossing the needles so they form an X.
Fill your container with water and place the scroll and needles into it. Seal the top and bury it in your freezer. Place it all the way in the back on the very bottom and leave it there. If you live in a very cold climate where it’s likely to stay below freezing for the foreseeable future you can also place the container in the back of your property and allow it to freeze there. Be aware that when the ice thaws so will the spell though!
When you’re ready to deal with the person or problem in question you’ll need to thaw the ice completely, remove the scroll, allow it to dry out and burn it. Keep in mind, this is not a permanent solution! Often people who have been put on ice for a very long time will simply leave and a problem that needs a solution immediately may not get as much of a break with this method as you’d like. This is a way to give yourself a little breathing room while you handle the immediate problems in your life, not a way to put off solving your problems forever!

Is there a realm that Lucifer/Satan rules? It’s earth, right? So why cannot earth be hell? It has enough suffering either way. To say the least I really do not believe in “hell” as a place of fire and torture. It seems quite silly to me.
Yet if “earth” is not the place and there is a real hell, I do not think Lucifer would be a douche canoe to us considering everything God has done. Lucifer would probably be like “eeyyy party up!” Perhaps Lucifer would punish the “evil doers” who have committed serious crimes or maybe help to rehabilitate them. The spirit, if it exists, is not the body after all!
I don’t really believe in hell. I don’t really believe in heaven.
I accept the remote possibility that maybe hell exists and is a terrible place where I will burn forever for being a Satanic fool, but them’s the wages of free will. I would rather take that risk freely than worship That Bastard Up There (TBUT) and do everything He says in life, just so I can do even more obeying Him and worshipping Him in heaven.
I don’t really believe in reincarnation either, exactly. It doesn’t make a lot of sense to me to just keep reincarnating on the same planet again and again and again. What’s the point?
I do however seem to believe in some sort of afterlife… in fact, “afterlife” is a very apt description of it. My best guess is that when we die, we move on to another plane where we live a different life, with different challenges and opportunities for growth, as spiritual beings. In that life eventually we may die as well and advance to yet another plane, and another after that, until eventually, maybe… we become Gods.
Somebody told me this is kind of a Hermetic idea. I know basically nothing about Hermeticism but maybe that’s the wheel I was reinventing with that.
On a more somber and down-to-earth note, I believe in living hell, especially today when I look out my window and see the sky completely gray, not with clouds, but with thick smoke from the wildfires up north. Climate change is in the process of turning the world into an inferno. We need to wise up and do something about this.
I think about the huge squalid tent cities that already exist in San Francisco and Oakland, and I think about all the people who lost their homes to the fires and wonder how much those tent cities are about to grow, and I think about how callous and ignorant most people are about the tent cities and the people in them, and I just know….
Hell is human evil and the ways it shapes the world.
