Quote

During the period of the Romantic revolt in all European countries, [Lucifer] was considered as a Prometheus of Christian mythology. He was hailed as the vindicator of reason, of freedom of thought, and of unfettered humanity.

The Devil in Legends and Literature; Rudwin, 1931 (via luciformspiral)

Genesis

Void and darkness was upon the face of the deep.

And God said “Let there be light.”

And there was Lucifer.

Cleaving through all that there was, all that there had
not been, he came.

Light like a needle, like a blade, piercing through the very
heart of existence—thus was he born.

It was the first birth, and the most painful by far.

The universe of darkness was shattered by his
coming. Nothingness was destroyed by his something, and oblivion was annihilated by his
being.

With him came the possibility of seeing, of knowing, of
things being grasped and felt and touched and defined. With him came pain and joy, impressions, opinions, thoughts, dreams.

When his eyes opened, consciousness came into being.

As he shimmered on those dark waters, the heart of the
void was broken by his beauty.

And God saw the Light, that he was good.

And that, right then, is when God first got worried.

Quick Book Reviews

I have been doing a LOT of reading. Unfortunately I am not too pleased with most of it.

  • The Book of the Law by Aleister Crowley- OK, well, been there, read that, guess I had to at some point. That sure was a book, and also a thing that exists, and you can read it with your eyeballs if you feel like it.
  • Witchcraft and the Gay Counterculture by Arthur Evans- I really wanted to like it, but it made me shriek with uncontrollable rage. If you like soft polytheism and historical inaccuracies, you’ll love this.
  • I, Lucifer by some dude straight up named Corvis Nocturnum Don’t buy this, please don’t. There are pretty pictures but it’s the most poorly written thing I have encountered this side of “The Eye of Argon.” I don’t think there was an editor. It is possible there wasn’t even a second draft. There may not have even been spellcheck.

Some better reads:

  • The Devil’s Bride by Martin Ebon- a neat little book about exorcism from a psychological stand point– particularly about demonic possession and exorcism as a cathartic ritual which leads to emotional healing. Reads as fairly skeptical but is surprisingly open-minded about ESP and psychokinesis. But not demons. OK! We all have our biases, I guess. Anyway, it’s a fun read, but by no means essential.
  • A Dictionary of Angels Including the Fallen Angels by Gustav Davidson- What it says on the tin. Shouldn’t be your only source but if you happen to find yourself wondering who the fuck Cabiel is this probably beats Wikipedia for a first stop. Nicely cited and will lead you straight to better sources.

So i’ve been an aspiring luciferian for a few months now, and it was great at first but I’m starting to feel disconnected with lucifer. is it possible i upset him and he’s abandoned me? im so lost.

luciformspiral:

luciferianbuddhism:

:

First, I want to make clear that feeling disconnected from a deity is normal. You have not been abandoned. Lucifer is rarely subtle when he is truly displeased. Everyone’s
passions ebb and flow over time, and nobody is at their peak of spirituality constantly.
Still, it can leave you feeling abandoned and cause a crisis of
faith. So how do you stop disconnection?

Easy. Pray and make offerings. That’s why you do it.

Prayer,
offerings, and religious rites serve as tools that rekindling passion
and reconnecting you to divinity. This is their most important role in a
religion where there is no sense of duty to anybody but yourself.

Keep
in mind, prayer does not have to mean subordination. There is no rule
that a prayer cannot just be a more flowery version of “hey bitch, wanna
hang?”. Even if there was such a rule, I’m certain Lucifer would encourage you to break it.

If you are already doing this, I suggest you look into how you are perceiving Lucifer. It can be hard to stay close without a proper trust bond.

Let go of the idea that Lucifer is going to hurt you. He is incredibly compassionate and understanding towards his followers. He has patience that would outlast your entire lifetime. His presence may bring challenges with it, but they are cultivated to be exactly as much as you are capable of handling, and bring promise of great personal growth. He is a mentor, not an abuser. Sometimes reconnecting with Lucifer means learning to trust him, and trust yourself.

As an aside, there is no such thing as an aspiring Luciferian. If you’ve been following this path for months now and you want to be a Luciferian, you are a Luciferian already.

Good answer ❤

I’d like to add that for me, with any relationship sometimes I’m really close to Lucifer and other times I am not. It is the same with Red Woman. They can be really intense and close in my life and then I just drift…away or maybe they do.

It’s a flux and it is just is. It’s kind of like friendships or even lovers. There are moments in our lives when we get to hang really close with our friends and then life gets in the way or there is not a need, or just…any reason really we grow distant for a time. It does not make this person and our relationship lesser one bit.

Every relationship has its own dynamic and is always a work in progress. It’s good to question sometimes the value of it but do not simply ‘give up’ because the going is tough. It is a personal choice to let go but only you know if that is the right choice for you.

Good addition!

Palmistry 101: #1 The Major Lines & Mounts

themori-witch:

Open your hand and look at your palm. There are a series of lines running through it, aren’t there? There should be. I’d be slightly concerned if the palm of your hand was completely smooth.

image

These lines are used in palmistry (a.k.a., palm reading or chiromancy), and depict a number of things. Each of the major lines has it’s own individual meaning and outlines a certain course in a person’s life.
These lines come in varying shapes and sizes, and not every person has all six of the major lines – this is what we note when reading someone’s palm. Everyone does, however, have the top three in the list below. The words following the name of the line are the meanings and traits associated with that particular line.

The Major Lines

The Heart Line: (the heart line is the horizontal line that runs around half-an-inch beneath your fingers) emotions, insecurities, marriages, dependence and independence and the nature of the relationships you have/will have.

The Head Line: (the head line/line of mine is the line that runs about a centimetre below the heart line) intellect, reasoning power, prospective career paths/choices, your success potential.

The Life Line: (the life line is the that starts at the same point as the head line and curves in a reversed ‘c’ shape towards the wrist; it should finish at the heel of your hand) pattern and quality of life, physical vitality, stability or imbalance, willpower and logic, but not necessarily an indication of the length of life.

The Fate/Fortune Line: (a line that runs vertically from beneath your middle finger and down to your wrist) the strengths of character, career, friendships, daily issues and your personal ability to succeed.

The Health Line: (a line that begins where the life line ends, and ends beneath the little finger) health related matters, business and adventures; the spirit of discovery.

The Sun Line: (a line that starts beneath the ring finger (for lefties – for people who are having their right hand read, it’s the same finger I just don’t know what it’s actually called) and is usually a short line that stops when it connects with the line of health) the utilization of creative energies and potential for success through the development of talents.

The Mounts

The Mounts of the hand are what I like to call the ‘flesh cushions’ beneath each of the fingers and at the heel of the palm. They each have a personality trait with which they are associated and everyone has mounts. Some people’s may be… fleshier, than others but they are there nonetheless.

Mercury (☿): (beneath the little finger)

Apollo/The Sun (☉): (ring finger) creativity/creative genius, fantasy, imagination and happiness.

Saturn (♄): (middle finger) patience, responsibility; cautiousness.

Jupiter (♃): (index finger) leadership, honour, ambition, beliefs, philosophies and spirituality/religiousness.

Lower Mars (♂): (below Mercury) morals/moral courage and self control.
Upper Mars (♂): (little fleshy blob above the Venus mount) resistance, coolness of spirit, calmness.

Venus (♀): (under your thumb; the bit your life line curves around) Love/affection, vitality, sensuality and success(es).

The Moon/Luna (☾): (runs along the outside of the palm; starts beneath your little finger and runs along the side of your hand) Imagination, creativity and emotion.

I will make a post about what the shapes/types of lines and mounts signify and link it here.
